ABOUT THE EVENT
This is our annual North American ski event that aims to assemble a small, elite group of global business executives with one common goal: to learn from one another’s personal and professional experiences against the inspiring backdrop of the Canadian Rockies. Think fantastic people and networking in a fun and memorable environment – combined with the opportunity to partake in some of the best skiing and boarding that North America has to offer.
LODGING
In Whistler, home to North America’s largest ski resort, the alpine wilderness is your year-round playground. Nestled at the base of the Coastal Mountain Range, our contemporary Resort is surrounded by world-class ski runs, epic glaciers and scenic lakes. Start your day by soaking in the scenic views from your private balcony before hitting the slopes, hiking trails, the pool or Spa. Whatever the day brings, après everything at our mountain retreat.
The power of the landscape, the towering mountains, the crisp air and glinting snow cast the trivial aside and draw your focus to what’s truly important. It’s a force of nature: something real. It manifests itself in our undeniable reputation, our legendary terrain, our reliably deep snow and our world record-breaking gondola. We’re all drawn here for different reasons. Some are attracted to a mountain town with an undisputed atmosphere. Others are pulled in by the pedestrian village with ski-in/ski-out lodging. Many seek the outdoor adventures that range from just-enough to over-the-top. Then there’s the world-famous après, five star dining, spas, shopping, or nightlife that are hard for anyone to resist. And at the center of it all, the two largest, consistently top ranked, side-by-side ski mountains in North America create a place with limitless possibilities.
FAQ
If you have any other questions or inquiries related to the event, please email rsimper@transperfect.com
What is the cost?
For invited guests, TransPerfect covers round-trip coach airfare, lodging, airport transfers in Vancouver and all organised activities and meals, including lift tickets and gear rentals (should you choose to rent). You are responsible for getting yourself to and from your home airport and all on-site incidentals. That’s it!
How do I get there?
Non-local guests will fly to Vancouver Airport where ground transportation will be arranged to bring you to the Four Seasons in Upper Village. The journey time is, weather permitting, around 2 hours through some gorgeous scenery.
What’s the agenda?
There is no structured agenda; however, we will arrange for several focused roundtable discussions on topics in varying areas. What you get out of this event is directly proportional to what you put in. The people we invite, both on the client side and on TransPerfect’s side, all have very valuable information to share, and over the course of our several days together, we hope that you’ll seek out as many others as you can.
Is this just a social event?
No, it’s a business event. Just because there isn’t a formalised all-day agenda of sessions doesn’t mean that the primary purpose of this event isn’t learning. We expect all in attendance to come prepared to share their knowledge and learn from other client attendees and TransPerfect team members, be that at the roundtable discussions, on the ski lifts or over meals/drinks.
Can I bring my spouse/significant other/a guest?
No, sorry. As an immersive business networking event, our primary goal is to ensure as much interaction and relationship-building among the group as possible. While we’re confident that your spouse (or other guest) is a lovely person, we’d strongly prefer that you attend this event on your own.
What is the dress code?
As with most resort towns, ski gear is completely acceptable almost anywhere – for non-mountain activities, feel free to pack casual attire such as denim, sweaters, etc. Be sure to pack layers!
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No. You certainly can bring your own gear, but if you need rentals, all you need to do is let us know in advance.
